About this piece
Handwoven wool kilim rug, 155 × 203 cm (5'1" x 6'8"), plant dyed and reversible. Large stepped diamonds in red, orange, blue and cream, framed by a border of hexagons.
The diamonds in the field are woven from narrow stripes set side by side. A fine chain of small red diamonds links field and border; the running-water motif at the edge is woven once in indigo and once in madder red.
Large enough for a living room under the coffee table, a dining room or a bedroom.

Good to know
A light wool smell at the start is a sign of untreated wool and fades after two or three days of fresh air. Care: shake out, blot spills with clear water.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
