About this piece
Handwoven wool kilim rug, 100 × 160 cm (3'3" x 5'3"), plant dyed and reversible. Seven columns of diamonds in blue and light blue, with half diamonds in black and grey at the sides.
The light blue green of field and edge comes from indigo. In one single column the weaver wove the motifs in black and grey instead of cream.
For an entryway, a wide hallway, at the foot of the bed or in front of an armchair.

Good to know
Untreated wool smells faintly of wool at first; two or three days of fresh air take care of it. Care: shake out regularly, blot spills right away with clear water.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
