About this piece
Handwoven wool kilim rug, 102 × 149 cm (3'4" x 4'11"), plant dyed and reversible. Six columns of diamonds in blue, red and light blue on a black ground, framed by a cream border with triangles.
The black ground is natural black sheep's wool, the cream border is dyed with weld. On the very outside the running-water motif in indigo blue with abrash runs beside one in madder red.
For an entryway, a hallway, under a desk or in front of an armchair.

Good to know
A light wool smell at the start is a sign of untreated wool and fades after two or three days of fresh air. Care: shake out, blot spills with clear water.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
