About this piece
A handwoven kilim where the colours catch your eye first and the pattern only shows itself on a second look.
The field is made of interlocking diamonds, framed by a wide border. Everything was dyed with plants: red from madder root, green and beige from weld with madder and alum, grey from pomegranate peel. Mustard, blue, orange and natural white complete the palette. The tones run into each other and feel calm despite the many colours.
Double-sided weave, both sides can be used. Size: 100 × 157 cm (3'3" x 5'2").
Lovely beside a bed, in an entryway, in a reading corner or on the wall. Goes well with wood and natural materials.

Good to know
A light smell of wool at first shows untreated wool and fades after two or three days of fresh air.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
