About this piece
Handwoven wool kilim rug, 102 × 146 cm (3'4" x 4'9"), plant dyed and reversible. Rows of colourful hexagons on a light grey ground, framed by a blue border and a green edge.
The light grey of the field comes from pomegranate peel with iron, the green of the running-water motif from indigo and weld. The blue border is made entirely of opposed triangles.
Calm yet colourful: for an entryway, beside the bed, under a desk or on the wall.

Good to know
Untreated wool smells faintly of wool at first; two or three days of fresh air take care of it. Care: shake out regularly, blot spills right away with clear water.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
