About this piece
Handwoven wool kilim rug, 104 × 151 cm (3'5" x 4'11"), plant dyed and reversible. Black lines form a lattice of diamonds in red, blue and cream, framed by a colourful border.
The black and the white are the natural colours of the sheep's wool, undyed. Red comes from madder, blue from indigo, green from weld with indigo; in the border every hexagon sits in its own coloured panel.
A strong eye catcher under a small dining table, in an entryway, beside the bed or in front of an armchair.

Good to know
Untreated wool smells faintly of wool at first; two or three days of fresh air take care of it. Care: shake out regularly, blot spills right away with clear water.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
